    Interval issues...

I for the life of me just cannot figure a few things out..and its two things that would make my life MUCH easier..

    1. Say I have the heavy beat marked and intervals entered. Then I want to go in between those intervals and insert a few other intervals on a different beat. I am trying to enter those and then copy paste in between other beats...it doesn't work...Am I overlooking something here?

    2. I FOR THE LIFE OF ME cannot get beat detection to work worth a darn...I know this is something I have to be doing. I mean..what differentiates what you choose....cymbals, snare, drums, tenor, bass...I cannot get ANY of them to enter a beat into my sequence that even CLOSELY matches up where I think it should...If someone can give me a good setting, say for instance Barlow Girls-Oh Holy Night..that way I can see what the heck I am doing wrong. The song is 44100 and MP3

Those two things are really slowing me down and I am MANUALLY inserting EVERY interval...

I am kind of on the same boat. I have been doing 1/10 and half second time intervals and doing it manually by dragging on the sound waves and entering the intervals by entering markings on the first channel all throughout the song. I do know if you use the select tool and mark between two points, you can right click and click choose insert multiple intervals and you can choose how many intervals. So if there are six syllables you would click on 5, pick equal, increasing or diminishing and it will put the 5 equal intervals in, giving you 6 even, increasing, or diminishing in size, depending on your need. I am about to try my daughters Wii remote which will allow me to tap the intervals into place, I will let you know how THAT works out. Hope I helped on at least one of your questions. Hang in there, anything worth doing ain't always easy. Keep asking questions there are some really great people here that will be more than willing to help. Good Luck with your lights,George

I am glad to see I am not the only one having issues with this...I don't know if I am selecting the wrong thing and then the wrong sensitivity...I just cannot get it to work to where it's even close enough to use. I basically went into tap mode and tapped out the beat I wanted which seemed to work OK.

Hey Jedi, You might want to try this tip, it worked for me. To the right of the waveform there is a little + button that will increase the sensitivity of the soundwaves. You can try upping the sensitivity incrementally to fit your needs. Hope this helps. george
