LSP working with the new D-Light DMX Open ACx16
I suppose we are technically out of Alpha testing and into Beta testing.
If you don't need a Bootloader (and it works well without it), it is very stable. Work continues on implementing a bootloader.
The setup interfaces are coming along to help you work with Dimming Tables (which can be stored on-board, 16 custom tables, and any 16 can be set for any channel).
Very easy to set the "start number" for each board with a simple utility.
I've tried it with both the D-Light V3 dongle (don't bother using the V2, it may lock you up) and with the Lynx DMX dongle. Both work well. Currently, all the utilities expect an "OpenDMX" dongle, not the "Pro" or Lynx.
So far, I've created and loaded one custom Dimming Table that makes my Purple CDI LEDs truly dim from 100% down to 3% in a very linear fashion. They are deliberately set to be Full ON at 100% and OFF at 0%, but I eliminated a 10% deadband at top and bottom. Seems much smoother now and with no flicker.
The DCx16 firmware is coming along, too. I haven't personally used it yet.
