I haven't played with it but you would have to make the tree into 4 zones from top to bottom then assign the channels that way i.e ......
Zone 1 - Red 1 - Green 5 - Blue 9
Zone 2 - Red 2 - Green 6 - Blue 10
Zone 3 - Red 3 - Green 7 - Blue 11
Zone 4 -Red 4 - Green 8 - Blue 12
That should give you all of your color combinations plus your one color, provided that the fixture device allows you to put multiple channels on one segment or zone on the tree.
