    Default Galaxia

Too pricey for me but will LSP support Galaxia Lighting? Or maybe it already does.

Very cool stuff but also very pricey.
    Thanks

It is not currently on the list of things to do. We also haven't had any requests for it.

Not surprised there have been no requests because of its price. There are lots of comments on it on PC in the GALAXIA section.

It is supported by AL and I think it is just hooked up to a channel that has some ramp-up commands sent to it. Dont take that to the bank, but that is what I remember reading somewhere.
    Thanks

From what I know about Galaxia, LSP does/would actually 'support' it.

It is my understanding that Galaxie is pretty much a stand alone system. Galaxie is just plugged into a channel and controller by turning on that channel.

Last year after the price was reveled I did not pay too much attention to them.

Edit....Mike, just reread your above post and it looks like I just repeated you. : )

I did a comparison on Galaxia with other RGB strings like firefli and CCR and I think the due to the cost of controller Galaxia looks expensive, but given the fact that that controller can control 1584 RGB nodes the pricing model gets competitive very quickly with higher channel count systems.

I am unclear what protocol the controller uses though but it is connected via ethernet.

It would appear that the Galaxia has 16 outputs which each support 99 node pixel strings.
