Does anyone know anything about these:

I was thinking of getting them being as Ray Wu has yet to get back to me.

I don't know anything about the lights. Not sure why Ray hasn't got back with you or what the deal is, but I can say he is a great guy and easy to deal with. I've mad several orders with him, each one more money than the last. Do take in mind the time difference and the fact they just starting working again from their New Year celebrations. Sign up with the Alibaba site and go to Ray's store. There you can actually chat with him. Hope this helps!

Well I emailed two weeks ago and then again this week and haven't heard anything. I am trying to see if he is able to combine shipping or at least use my UPS account number to ship these. The detractor in this whole thing is not his customer service (from what I read, he is pretty good when it comes to answering questions) but the shipping costs. I am looking at a variety of dumb strips, pixel strips, pixel strings dumb strings as well as individual RGB modules....about 20 of each, but shipping per individual item will put the cost off the board.

BTW, while I am at it, what strips, pixels and modules is everyone buying from Ray. I am wanting to go with the 2801's for the increased fading, but if the budget ceiling is achieved, I may have to downgrade some.

I would watch out with these as they dont say what IC chip is in them, so these require a pixel controller and the issue is that they look like the rubber is soft around the cable entry which will allow water to get in and cause the LED to fail. The solid resin filled pixels are the best to use (IP67/IP68)

As far as shipping cost, if your buying multiple item then go chat to Ray and ask for a pro-forma invoice with combined shipping, it can save hundreds.

Donny - I have an account with Alibaba but not familiar with Ray Wu. How do I find his store? I do a search by his name but cant tell if I am looking at results from his store or not.

Did you just e-mail him or message him through the Aliexpress website. If you just e-mailed him I'd also message him as well. That way you can get his (or associates) attention. I just recently e-mailed him and had not received a reply but after messaging him of the e-mail I received a very prompt e-mail reply.

Realize too that given the SSC coop may also be swamping him with orders as well.
