Vixen importing problem.
I tried to import a Vixen sequence for the first time today. It didn't go well.
The sequence seems to have imported without reporting any errors.
The first problem that I noticed was even when you are fully zoomed out that there are missing/invisible time lines. A majority of timelines were selectable but wouldn't move or couldn't be deleted. If I got a timeline to move it usually moved several others throughout the imported sequence.
The next thing I observed is that if you tried to add any effects that they simply ignored most of the timelines over long time intervals. You also could not edit any of the imported effect either.
Who here has imported any Vixen sequences and if so what were the results.

Hi
If you send me the sequence I will import it and we can compare results. bmulvenna at hotmail.com. What version of LSP are you running?
Thanks

Hi Tom,
Got your files and I did the import and if you zoom in you will see the timing marks. Also the marks are independent, not shared, (don’t know why as I dont know much about vixen) so if you switch to independent mode you will be able to move them after you zoom in.
Perhaps David could answer why they are being converted as independent rather than shared. In addition I have a request in that the when an import is being done you get to choose which interval mode is used. http://www.lightshowpro.com/showthre...orted-sequence

Mike,
I see what you mean. I believe the Shared Timing mode should be the default. That may be why the import isn’t working properly as well. Unless you have to set some flag in Vixen before saving. I know enough about Vixen to use it to set DMX addresses on Lynx controllers and create channel test routines. If you switch back and forth between timing modes those timing marks do show up in the independent mode without having to zoom in. There needs to be a way to convert an independent timing mark to a shared mark.
There is another anomaly that I noticed with the independent timing marks. If you move the first timing mark associated with column one you can’t move it back.
