Thread: Sequence with video output

Anyone else done any sequencers with video output? I would love to talk with anyone who has. I have one sequence woking okay but others I have converted an .FLV file to a AVI file and the problems start.
Video is very choppy.
If i try to edit the video clip propertire LSP aborts and windows finds this solution

Troubleshoot a problem with ffdshow codec

ffdshow codec has stopped working properly.

ffdshow codec is a codec. The file name of this codec is ffdshow.ax.

To try to solve this problem, follow these steps. One step might solve the problem, but if it doesn't, then go on to the next step.

Click to go to the ffdshow website to check for and install ffdshow.ax updates

Use the regsvr32 command to unregister ffdshow.ax

If you don't know which program is causing this problem, you can remove ffdshow.ax from the list of installed codecs by unregistering it.

What should I do if the regsvr32 command fails or returns an error?

If the steps to disable the ffdshow.ax did not work, you can try renaming the file to disable it.

Click the Start button , and then, in the Search box, type ffdshow.ax.

In the list of search results, right-click ffdshow.ax, and then click Open file location.

Right click ffdshow.ax, and then click Rename.

Rename the file (for example, change the name to ffdshow.ax.old). Remember the file name so you can enable it later if you need to.

I did the download and install but still have the issues.

I will be testing the sequence i do have working to my projector and a test screen after dark this evening. Once i get this all working properly, i plan to have video clips in most if not all of my sequences.

I have used video in my show for the past 2 years with no problems. I have no experience so far with LSP and video.

Not sure about the problem with an .FLV converted to .AVI.

As a side note I don't use .FLV at all. I use keepvid.com and download as a mp4.

Okay I tried using an MP4 and get the same results. I can insert the video clip and run the show in the scheduler but th evideo is very very choppy. If I try to edit the video clip properties LSP blows up as mentioned above with the CODEC error.

Any ideas are greatly appreceiated as I am now at a standstill with the video testing.

Cant do my test tonight as we are now getting a much needed rainstorm
