Upgrade to V2_0_12014_1630 and FTDI issues
Hi All,
I'm sure this issue is minor.
I purchased a license and installed the S/W successfully last week. All was going well and I had no issues.
Then on Tuesday I updated the S/W to V2_0_12014_1630.
To do this I uninstalled the previous version by using the un-installer on my Windows 7 machine (I un-installed by using the Un-install S/W in the control panel, where there was a icon
that said uninstall LSP)
I then rebooted my machine (I did not delete the XPros directory when LSP usually resides)
Now when I run LSP it asks whether the FTDI driver is installed.
I then went to the following link: http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/CDM20814_Setup.exe
to install the FTDI driver for Windows 7 (I don't have a dongle yet, but I'm planning on running the Ether Dongle from DIY Light Animation)
so I'm not sure I can fully install the FTDI yet since I don't have a Dongle yet.
Is there anything I can do to get the FTDI error message to go away?

You can install the FTDI drivers without a dongle it won't hurt anything but I don't think that is the problem. Does this happen when you first start LSP or when your try to load a sequence? If it is the later then then check and make sure output is turned off (the light bulb isn't yellow in the playback tab. If it is the former install the FTDI drivers and see if the error goes away. David would have to comment to this wheter the FTDI drivers are now required for LSP or if this is a bug.

It does it when I first open up a sequence in LSP, the output to the lights is not turned on. I've installed the FTDI drivers, but still get the error. This error wasn't showing up in the earlier version.

If you are planning on using the ether dongle you do not need the FTDI drivers. It is not a usb connection, so if I were you I would just remove the drivers. Uninstall LSP again, be sure and save your license, then do a complete clean install. By that after you uninstall LSP, rename your Graphxpros folder and reinstall LSP. I think that will solve your issue.
One thing real quick is make sure that in your output configuration you do not have initialize outputs checked.

Well I did a complete uninstall, renamed the GraphXPro Folder, rebooted the machine.
Did a clean install, rebooted. Started LSP, opened up a sequence, and boom, the old error message is back.
It pops up as small window and says " Failed to load FTDXX.DLL. Are the FTDI drivers installed.
Trying to close the window or clicking OK, closes the windows for about 1 second and then it pops back up.
Any ideas?
Here's the log file if it helps:

Did you check your output settings and make sure that your "Initialize outputs" is not checked?

Correct, the "Initialize Outputs after sequence load" is not checked. Neither is the output to lights bulb highlighted.
If however I start LSP without a sequence (e.g. like I'm going to start a new sequence) then I don't get the FTDI error.
It's only when I open up a sequence that was created with the earlier version.
As soon as it processes that sequence the FTDI error pops up.

Hmmmm. What controller outputs are set in those earlier sequences? I have not seen this yet so I am not sure what you have going on. For some reason it is almost like LSP is trying to load your outputs when it loads a sequence. Do you have an FTDI dongle that you have used in the past? I am thinking maybe plug it in and see if the sequence will open. Have to give this one some thought. Maybe someone else can chime in here.

At the top of the window when LSP is open you don't have the output on there do you? I am just trying to think of things that are making LSP load your out put configurations from the previous sequences.

This was a brand new Laptop, so it's a fresh build.
The sequence was built entirely from one version back from the latest revision (so it's not an import from any other program)
The Output bulb is not highlighted
The controllers in the sequence are 16 Lynx Pixel controllers, varying from 25 pixels (75 RGB Pixels in total) to 120 pixels (360 RGB pixels in Total)
I've never plugged in any dongles (don't have one yet to plug in)
There's two D-Light AC 16's in the sequence. I have tried delete the two AC 16 Controllers, saving the sequence and starting it again, but that still throws
up the same issue, so it's not the AC 16's.
