Matrix Animator
What is the easiest way to put an animated effect (Created in the Matrix Animator) into you sequence multiple times in a row?

Roger I don't do a lot of Matrix effects but if it were me I would create a user pattern out of the generated effect, dbl click on the pattern to copy it to the clipboard, then use the multiple paste option. By creating a pattern rather than just copying it the effects will then be available in other sequences also.
Hope that helps some.
Thanks

That's a good idea Mike. I'll give that a try. It is pretty large though!

Once built and saved I can still use it in any sequence anyway, but I do like your idea.

Saving and then loading the animation sequence I presume is what you mean. Think a pattern would be quicker but maybe not.

That is correct Mike, only when you generate the animation it only allows you to load 1 at a time. I am going to try your way and see how it works.
Thanks,

Mike I tried your make a pattern, but I have an issue. It will not let me copy the entire effect. I have 1920 rows of RGB channels to copy and it starts cutting them off when I scroll that far. There must be a limitation on how many rows to copy. I have tried from top to bottom and bottom to top (Which I might add scrolls MUCH Faster) and neither will work. If I collapse all of my controllers then it will not copy the effects correctly. Any ideas?

I don't know if there is a limitation, David would have to answer that.
There is a reported issue on C/P from/to collapsed controllers.....
Only suggestion would be to make multiple patterns until this issue gets resolved.
Thanks

The way i do it is just save the matrix animation and then just load it up and use it again and again

the most accurate method is to do the following:
1) create the animation matrix frames, then save the animation.
2) select the time range in the wave area, then right-click in the area, generate animation
3) select and load the animation frames that were saved.
4) repeat multiple times.
i.e. what everyone else suggested...
in the future, animations will likely integrate with transitions so that it can all be done through layers in a similar manner, with all the same capabilities of transitions...
