Default Can a sequence be shortened?

Is it possible to shorten a sequence so that it ends before the song does? I created a musical sequence and assigned an audio file. I decided that I would like to end the sequence after about 2 minutes rather than continue filling out the last minute of the sone with more lighting effects. If I can't shorten the sequence, then I will need to run the show in sequencer and use the looping control.

Also, do I need to export an optimized version of the sequence and run the show using scheduler? Will that provide lighting effects that are better synchronized to the music than just using Sequencer?

Yes. You have to shorten the audio file. I use audacity. Select the region to cut, then hit control X. Then go into LSP and click sequence settings and reselect your new audio file. The sequence will cut to the new length.
