    Default Chauvet intelligent lighting

    Hey Everyone

    I am wondering if anyone has tried to use any of either the Martin or Chauvet intelliegent lighting products with LSP. I read up a bit on the devices and the Chauvet hardware uses 8 universes of DMX for its control. I had a look at the Chauvet Intimidator LED scan 200. It has a data sheet that can be found on their website for reference http://www.chauvetlighting.com/produ..._Rev_03_WO.pdf

    Has anyone ever tried this? Any suggestions, Any experience to share?

    thanks

    David

    Hello David, I think you may have that wrong, 8 DMX universes would be 4096 channels which is quite high for one device, I think it might have an 8 channels where a different DMX value sent would trigger one of 8 different effects for the device? If I am wrong, I am sure one of the experts here will correct me.

    I just looked at the data sheet again. It uses 8 channels with 512 steps per channel
    1 = 1 to 512 for 0 to 180 degree pan
    2 = 1 to 512 for 0 to 90 degree tilt
    3 = 1 to 512 for colors
    4 = 1 to 512 for shuter
    5 = 1 to 512 for dimmer
    6 = 1 to 512 for gobo wheel and gobo shake
    7 = 1 t0 512 for different functions
    8 = 1 to 512 for different macros

    I have used all this stuff in the past with the manufacturers controllers. I thought it may be interesting to see if it could be controlled via LSP.

    I couldn't get the audio to work, but it looks like this was done using 8 channels? George
    Update: apparently you have to take the headphones out of the jack in your laptop or actually put said headphones in your ears to be able to hear!!!! LOL
