Question How to change a show without rebuilding

If a show is created in the scheduler and saved to run on multiple days, will any changes made to the sequence take effect the next next time the scheduled show is run. Have not had time to test this and wondering if anyone know the answer.
    Thanks
    Mike

    well... yes and no,
when a show is created, the scheduler creates copies of the files in its sequence folder, if you update those files it will play them however, be sure to optimize the entire sequence before doing so (the scheduler does this for you before it saves it)

    thanks,
    David

So if I make a sequence change I should save it normally and then save it optimized to what folder? I don't see any sequence folder under the scheduler folder. Is it hidden?
    Thanks

when scheduler was ran for the first time, you had to identify a sequence and media folder, this is the *working* folder that the scheduler saves its files into.
if you need to update a show file, this is where the change needs to be stored, be sure that the media file can be found in the mapped location (in the sequence)
if the show is in progress, you will need to re-start the scheduler for changes to take effect.
    hope this helps.

Is this still true with 2.0? What is the ShowFile directory used for and the bin files? I want to be able to update show files without having to recreate the show or delete a show and reimport it.

Although I haven't tried it yet, all of this should still work in V2. The tutorial (video in the tips and tricks) on the scheduler show how to perform these things. Changing a sequence and inserting it into an existing show start around the 11 minute mark.
    Thanks

The video shows the show files as .msq, however, in 2.0 the show files are .bin. Do we need to rename the .oms to .bin?

I tried renaming an .oms to a .bin and it failed to play. I then tried to create the bin file on my scheduler on my laptop so that I could move it to my show computer but then all I get are com port errors since all my controllers are on my show computer. So it would appear that there is no way to swap out a sequence on the fly anymore.
